An excursion to the imposing Riegersburg is unforgettable. Located high on a volcanic cone, the landmark of Eastern Styria towers impressively. A guided tour of the castle and a demonstration by the bird of prey station just below the castle, are very impressive experiences.

A completely new highlight for Young and Old is the "Wein-Erlebnis-Weg Bad Loipersdorf" (wine adventure trail), which is partly barrier-free and on which you can admire not only the Bad Loipersdorf region but also its vineyards, natural beauties and historical features. Since mid-July 2020, the "Wein-Rast-Platzln" (wine relaxation areas), a complementary attraction to the Wine Experience Trail, can be visited and regional products can be tasted on this circular hiking trail. The signposted paths lead through the gentle and hilly landscape, past a total of 5 wine taverns and 12 gastronomic establishments. If the full length (16.7 km) should be too much for you, you can also use one of the two sections. With the starting point Bad Loipersdorf thermal baths, you can take the section "Stock & Stein" (sticks & stones) with a length of 10.6 km, or, with the starting point in the center of Bad Loipersdorf, you can take the section "Schritt & Tritt" (step by step) with a length of 9 km, which can also be comfortably traveled by bike and stroller.

A visit to the Zotter chocolate factory is a must for all those with a sweet tooth. Watch how your favorite chocolate is created step by step on a fascinating tour through the factory and, of course, you can try some chocolate creations at the end. A chocolate-shop-theater and an eatable zoo are also very tempting ...

Especially people living in the city benefit from this wonderful nature relaxation, because they often lack the connection to nature or a piece of forest in their area. It's pretty awesome that we still have a lot of healthy and intact mixed forest with beautiful old trees in Unterlamm. Unterlamm is about an hour from Graz. A day trip to the state capital with its local sights can be a welcome change. Fürstenfeld, a charming little town with many good shopping possibilities, is even closer to Unterlamm (approximately 20 min.).

Pilgrims will find various places of worship around Unterlamm. A local speciality is the faithful replica of the Lourdes Mariengrotte, where you will find a relic of St. Bernadette for veneration, which is unique in Austria. A light procession takes place every 11th of the month.
